Statement
G.W. Lisk is committed to . design, market, and manufacture
world class quality electro-mechanical products which meet our
customer's specifications, are delivered on time at an acceptable
cost, producing an acceptable profit, working within the concept
of continuous improvement while striving to improve the quality
of life of our employees and their communities.
Company
Background
In 1910, George Washington Lisk opened a small sheet metal shop
on the portion of land which our present U.S.A. plant now covers.
His original products were patented baking pans and hand pump
fly sprayers.
Our focus shifted to
solenoids after producing our first solenoid valve in 1948. Since
that day our dominant interest has been the design, development,
and manufacturing of dependable solenoids.
Through the years,
our products have grown to include solenoid valves, LVDT's, and
electronic accessories to operate these products. As our sales
grew, we gradually expanded each of our facilities and the manufacturing
capabilities at each site.
The original Clifton
Springs plant now exceeds 300,000 square feet of manufacturing,
offices, and warehouse area. The Ireland plant is approximately
100,000 square feet and the United Kingdom site is 35,000 square
feet.
All locations offer
considerable room for further expansion. Our investments in equipment
and facilities have been guided by a philosophy of total "in-house
capabilities" wherever practical. This enables us to control quality
and to respond to the urgent and sometimes sudden needs of our
customers.

Lisk has a dynamic engineering base. Our expertise in the design
and manufacture of solenoids, solenoid valves, LVDT's, and flame
arrestors has spanned over 50 years.
We use the latest equipment
for creating our designs including magnetic element analysis,
and 2D and 3D CAD machines with solid modeling capabilities.
