A Value Added Partner in the Design Process
Often times the "off the shelf" component seems like an attractive solution, but in the long run costs more in modifications and poor efficiency. Lisk specializes in unique designs and excels in providing exactly what you need. Contact us early and often to discuss the use of a rotary actuator in your design.
Lisk Rotary solenoids offer precise rotations and zero axial motion. Whether it is our single ball cam armature or stalled rotor design, Lisk Rotary solenoids offer superior shock resistance and reliability over competitive designs. Proven to 8000g's, the stalled rotor design provides exceptional survivability in the most extreme applications. With rotational torques as high as 50 In-lbs and response times as low as 2 mS, the advantages of a Lisk rotary solenoid are obvious. Couple those benefits with the fact that solenoid life can exceed 100 million cycles and you have a very reliable component from a very reliable company.
Perhaps the most intriguing aspect of not only rotary solenoid actuators, but all Lisk solenoids is the fact that fast, repeatable control of work can be had from very minimal (if any) instrumentation and circuitry. Pulse and hold circuits or pulse width modulation can produce exceptional torques while still maintaining relatively low power consumption and heat generation.
Recent advances in 3D magnetic modeling software, materials, and manufacturing capabilities have allowed Lisk's engineers to develop a number of new rotary products for our customer's applications. The bi-stable rotary actuator features a permanent magnetic latching armature that can be driven with positive and negative polarity to desired rotational positions. These same advancements have also led to proportional rotary actuators which feature varied positions based on varied power inputs. Typical applications for bi-stable solenoids and proportional solenoids include optical shutters and throttle body controls.
