How long have you worked at Lisk and what is your current role?
I have worked at Lisk for 2.5 years. I am a commodity manager, managing windings, wire, electrical components, molded parts and special processes.
What has your experience been as a member of the Lisk team?
It has been great! The employees of all levels are supportive and helpful. The company promotes a healthy work-life balance as well as career advancement. Lisk invests in their employees.
Who have been some of your biggest inspirations within the company?
My boss, Beth Woodward, Director of Supply Chain. Beth is so much more than an inspiration to me. She is a mentor. Regardless of how much she has on her plate, she is always available for her team no matter how big or small the issue. She pushes us to take on new challenges, supporting us along the way. As a working mother, it is often difficult to find the balance between work and home. Advancing in my career is very important to me but my two littles at home are my world. Beth raised twin girls all while working full time and going to school. She worked her way up the ladder all while being a wonderful mother and role model for her girls. Beth is a very well-respected, trusted and reliable Director. I aspire to be the same every day.
What is your favorite memory at Lisk?
My favorite memory by far has been the Global Supplier Summit we recently held. We hosted a number of our key suppliers onsite. Although we speak to our counterparts at Tico, ICG and Lisk Ireland often over Go-To, phone, email daily, it was so nice to be with everyone in person. We were able to actually stand united as one global supply chain team and communicate the terrific opportunities for our suppliers.
How have you grown professionally while on the Lisk team?
I take a lot of pride in my career and work. I hold myself to high standards and have a desired career path. One of the things I appreciate about Lisk is their dedication to develop their employees and support them in reaching their desired goals. I’ve been given countless opportunities to step out of my typical role and comfort zone to exercise and further develop my skills. Currently, Lisk has sponsored our entire purchasing team to obtain our APICS CSCP certification.
What do you enjoy most about working at Lisk?
Hands down our awesome purchasing team! Each of us comes from a diverse background and are at a different level of experience. We all bring something different to the table. No one works in a silo here. We are constantly collaborating, supporting one another and overall just mesh so well. They make hard days better and we cheer each other on when we get a win. We’re one big work family. In my 18 years of supply chain, this is by far the best team I’ve ever worked with.
