How long have you worked at Lisk and what is your current role?
I have been at Lisk for 8 ½ years and I am currently a senior project engineer in the Military/Aerospace department.
What has your experience been as a member of the Lisk team?
Since I started as a new engineer at Lisk, I have been involved in more than I could have ever imagined. I have had the opportunity to support our production team, perform and witness testing for numerous programs and visit a customer’s facilities to see our units installed. It really has been outstanding to think back on. And as Lisk continues to grow and evolve, I am looking forward to expanding on all of those experiences and opportunities.
Who have been some of your biggest inspirations within the company?
Honestly, Joel Pierce, the principal engineer in our group, is a big inspiration. Not only does he have so much knowledge and experience in this industry, he is always willing to help despite his own workload. You can always count on Joel to help brainstorm unique solutions, evaluate data or just provide feedback; he is invaluable to our team.
What is your favorite memory at Lisk?
There have been so many but mostly they revolve around our weekly staff meetings. Our whole group meets to catch up from the weekend and provide a status on their week ahead. While we had to switch to virtual meetings, they are still fun and we all end up laughing our way through them.
How have you grown professionally while on the Lisk team?
When I started at Lisk, I had very little technical experience in industry and only had two years of engineering experience. I have learned so much about problem solving, product design and interacting with customers but most of all, my confidence in decision-making has grown.
What do you enjoy most about working at Lisk?
The people! Everyone genuinely cares about each other and cares about producing quality product, which makes Lisk feel like more than just a “workplace”. It feels like you are working with a big group of friends every day.
